Hutchinson expands in to the large wind arena with its new 4000 Sqm tower fabrication facility with a £5m investment.

Company takes on new 40,000 sq ft premises next door to its steel manufacturing factory in Everite Road, Widnes – increasing its workforce by a further 20 per cent.

Hutchinson Engineering is awarded the tender to supply telecom pole structures to Arqiva for the Government’s Mobile Infrastructure Project (MIP).

Work starts on a major new 4G network for leading providers Vodafone and O2.

An International Safety Award is presented to Hutchinson Engineering for achieving a ‘distinction’ from the British Safety Council.

A patent is awarded to Hutchinson Engineering for the invention of a unique root foundation to support wind turbines.

Hutchinson Engineering installs its first 60Kw wind turbine structure on the Isle of Coll for Harbon wind turbine, in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland.

Kingspan renewables commission Hutchinson Engineering to design their wind turbine structures.

Hutchinson Engineering secures an order for 200 wind turbine structures with Xzeres Wind Europe.

The British Safety Council appoints Dean Drinkwater – MD of Hutchinson Engineering – to the Manufacturing Sector Interest Group.

Hutchinson Engineering celebrates its biggest ever contract-win since the firm began 32 years ago. It is awarded deal worth an estimated £8 million pounds by telecommunications giants Telefonica UK and Vodafone.

Hutchinson Engineering achieves 250,000 incident-free man hours at Essar oil refinery, Stanlow (formerly Shell).
